This family run property is in the rainforest overlooking the Naranjo river. Enjoy spectacular mountain views, swimming in the Naranjo River, excellent birding, trails on the property leading directly to a waterfall, and immense natural beauty. In our Rancho area, you will enjoy an elevated teak wood platform perfect for yoga, meditation, reading, or dancing. Reconnect with nature and your loved ones at this unforgettable jungle escape.

If you want off the beaten path, this is your place! The property is set on a lovely forested section of land that has been built with a lot of heart and soul. Every trail and many of the structures have been made with river rocks that have been brought up from below. The tents are very cozy and comfortable and allow one to connect completely with their natural surroundings. There are ceiling fans, excellent quality mattresses, organic cotton sheets and screened windows for fresh air. We have private compost toilets (Loo with a View) to avoid waste and beautiful private hot outdoor showers.

There are 2 identical tents with a capacity of 4 people overlooking the river. We have recently added this brand new third tent that can accommodate up to 6 people. If you are traveling with friends, you may rent out all the tents and have the entire ecolodge to yourselves including the common areas such as the rancho/kitchen and yoga/meditation/event platform.

Wake up to the sounds of birds and the river below and enjoy a campfire at night with the sounds of the rainforest. The beautiful Naranjo River just down the trail from your tent is an absolute oasis. During the summer months you can explore up and down stream to enjoy some of the swimming holes, jump off of giant boulders into the river below, or just relax by the waterfall with a great book. In the rainy season, the waterfall is pumping and a great way to experience the "aqua massage"!

Our kitchen is fully equipped for you to bring groceries to cook your own meals. We have a full size refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, electric skillet and all other necessary cooking utensils. There is no restaurant or bar on the property but our neighbor Dona Luz can cook meals in her home for you for around $8. She lives just on the other side of the soccer field. Many of our guests say this is one of their highlights staying here because it gives them a way to connect with a local family and have a cultural experience in a local home. Advanced notice is appreciated so that she may prepare your meal over her wood burning stove.
